I opened up the PC today and changed out the video card for a spare one I have. Also reseated the ram, removed the cpu heat sink, cleaned and applied new TIM, sprayed out the dust.
Everything seems to running faster now and I also haven't had any crashes or slowdowns today!.
One thing though I think I might have broke a small piece on one of the little arms on the cpu heatsink. The black part on the arm came out completely. I just put it back in though. Everything still snapped down correctly though, so I'm sure it's fine.
I just copied and pasted a generic picture I found online. So you can look and see what I mean, by the little black arms that seem to sit on/in a white plastic piece.
Not sure if its even broken or maybe it is suppose to be removable like that?.
