I'm trying to repair a Lenovo H430 that won't boot. A BIOS update was run via flash update and when the system was restarted it won't POST. Any ideas?

If it won't POST (and it did before the BIOS update), that means the update went bad. If that's the case then you can investigate BIOS recovery procedures for that motherboard, if any exist. I don't see any mentioned on the support page but there might be a way. A motherboard replacement would be the only other solution.

If it will POST but won't boot, that means something went bad with the OS, boot device, etc. Note that BIOS update says "This BIOS only support windows 32 bit" so make sure you are booting from a 32-bit version of Windows. Scott.

I haven't seen any BIOS recovery procedures yet, that's why I came here.

Would this MSI motherboard work as a replacement?

I can't believe they only have a Windows flash and no boot CD, USB or even floppy BIOS.

Yes, that looks like it will do.

Be aware the LAN and likely the audio drivers are different. There is no HDMI port on that board. Make sure the case has a removable rear I/O port panel.

The original and suggested replacement motherboards are both microATX. As long as the processor socket and supported memory types are the same then it should work as a replacement. Scott.
