Here in the UK "they" are selling Asus windows 8 PC's. They are like any Win8 box have the ability to upgrade to 8.1, they announce this with a large sticker on the front of the PC. A very sticky sticker (I'd say harder that a Win 7 COA!)

I've tried to get the remainder of this sticker of for about an hour now, and it's not happening It now needs refinishing to look factory fresh. :(

I found the best thing to use to remove as much as possible is Citrus based TIM cleaner, but even this has left some marks.

So now I can't buy a computer with windows not because the lack of a sticker (COA) but because of a sticker!

On a plus side, if I ever need to fasten anything I can find the supplier of these stickers and buy them cheaper than a 40" head bolt.

That's terrible! One of the first things I do to a new system is to take off all of the "Designed for Windows" and other stickers, except the COA that is. Scott.

Stickers and such are more of a problem than I thought. I just bought a 4 ounce bottle of UN-DO at Walmart for (about) $7.00. I have not yet used it, but the label says: "Sticker, Tape & Label Remover" *'Safely removes all self-sticking & pressure sensitive stickers, tapes, labels & adhesives on contact'. GOO GONE didn't work for me, nor did acetone, and another solvent. I am now looking for a solvent for dried super-glue, cyano-acrylate. Sorry I don't have results for UN DO yet. WFL

I should have added that at Walmart it was in the 'Fabric and Crafts' section, not in Hardware, Paints, etc. WFL

Yes, is a real pain this one. The texture is so fine that I don't think it will ever look right unless I rub down and paint!

At least it's still an ATX Spec PC http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/desktop-p ... 1-pdt.html

Sticker was applied just under the Asus logo.
