Did not know where to post this.

http://www.federalnewsradio.com/130/361 ... offerings-

"CompTIA announced today it has bought TechAmerica to complement and expand its public sector organization.

"Connecting the continuum of companies — from small IT service provider to software to hardware to communications and distribution — allows CompTIA to tell a complete technology story to business, public sector and policy partners, educating audiences about the impact along the information and communications technology use cycle," Todd Thibodeaux, president and CEO of CompTIA, said in a statement."

Scott, what's your thoughts?

TechAmerica apparently has had a rough time lately, and was ripe for being acquired: http://www.federalnewsradio.com/130/361 ... 5M-lawsuit

I believe that the acquisition will help to reinforce the industry importance of the CompTIA certifications. Scott.

Do you also think that those that have the certificate will be considered even better candidates for hiring since this acquisition?

I know it was good to be certified before, but do you think it's even more important?

I'd say yes to both of those things, I think this will only increase industry awareness of the certifications. Scott.
