Scott, as you've noticed, I've started a new thread for a 2nd system build. My question is, what do you think of the Gigabyte GA X99-SOC-Champion 2011-v3 motherboard. Please keep in mind it's a workstation goal, only, for video editing (Adobe CC applications). I'm not a gamer. And, I thinking of an Intel 700 series 1TB SSD with a fast data transfer rate. No purchases of been made as of yet.

Thus Far:
1. Gigabyte GA-X99-SOC-Champion MB
2. Intel 5820k, 5930k, or 5960 (Don't think I'll need 8 cores, however) Processor
3. PNY Nvidia Quadro K4200 Video Card
4. 4 Corsair CMK32GX4M4A2666C15 Modules 8GB each for a total of 32GB
5. Intel 750 (?) series SSD for boat and primary working drive
8. Not sure on the fast storage drives as of yet.
9. Looking for an excellent ATX case a present... Maybe a little sound proofing should the video card prove to as noisy as the current Gigabyte UD5's PNY NVIDIA Quadro 4000

Many Thanks,
DLH

I'm a bit dismayed at the reviews on NewEgg.com, the reliability appears to be suspect. I think I would recommend looking at an MSI board instead.

I saw a few reviews that made the board suspect as well. I think Tom's Hardware rated the MSI board as one of the top 10... Thanks! DLH
