I was not sure where to put this question.

I'm looking for recommendations. I currently have only local backups set to run, with incremental backups. I know I need more, for now this is it. Although I am careful I know ransomware is out there. I can't be specific but I know of a recent exposure where this happened that should have been more secure.

It has me thinking greatly about this. My workstation is on the lower level and I can't be constantly running down or trying to remember to plug each night and unplug every morning and hope this will do it. My backups take place at night.

But, if I do get hit with Ransomware, I don't want my backups to be hit too. If that happened it would wreck my day! :(

So, I need some recommendations.

Thanks.

A single backup is not nearly good enough, but it is better than nothing. I recommend at least three backups running alternately with one of them being kept off-site. If you do have only a single backup then I would only connect it when backups were being run. Scott.
