High temperatures can
also affect SSDs. Commercially designed and produced systems should be engineered to maintain proper component temperatures, however as you seem to be experiencing
there can be problems. Whether you use HDDs or SSDs you should first solve the temperature problem. That may be as simple as cleaning out dust, relocating cables or components that may be interfering with airflow, or replacing a failed fan. If the system is clean, has good airflow and all fans are operating properly then you may be able to improve cooling by installing a more powerful fan, reworking the vents, relocating components, etc. Scott.
