Hi,
I have gotten lots of RELIABLE help from this board.

I have a DELL nightmare (WIN 10) which is showing signs of aging. (Just over 1 YEAR old)
XPS 8910
1X1RSD2
4175142230

I'm in Canada and cannot build a desktop right now so I need a new one.
As mentioned this has been a nightmare.
I am not sure how much has to do w/ WIN10 but I saw HP sells new PCs with windows 7 now!

1. Can someone advise about HP vs. DELL (assuming it has local tech support and NEW windows 7 computers.) Or suggest a WEB SITE?

2. There's an HP "HP Z240 Small Form Factor Workstation"
http://store.hp.com/CanadaStore/Merch/P ... BA&sel=DTP
I had a SFF DELL which got EXTREMELY HOT and didn't last long. Have they improved SFF?

3. I canNOT access US NewEgg (I'd clicked "Canada" & can ONLY get Cdn site (which is different) According 2 NewEgg this cannot B reversed.)

Sorry - I never get notifications from this forum
Thanx for answering.
I don't know lenovo at all. There are no windows 7 new PCs.
They seem really pricey.

Which is better: DELL OR HP? (For desktops)
I have the DELL (XPS 8910 - posted it many times - win 10 NIGHTMARE)

What is the problem with it?. After looking it up it seems you are still under warranty till 2020. Looks like a decent computer really.

Thanks for replying,
The problem with the XPS 8910?
Here is my latest post (re: the BIOS)
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3360

It's a mix between windows 10 and DELL. I don't have time to troubleshoot constantly & something happened with a BIOS update (as per DELL).

I see HP and DELL are currently selling NEW PCs with windows 7.

Right, you don't have time to troubleshoot, so I figure maybe you can just tell them what's wrong and they will fix it for you. You wouldn't have to lift a finger I'd think. I'll check out your new post but I know Scott can help you better than I. He is the best at computer repair in the world I believe.

Hi and thank you!
Dell support has been awful. They could only make it worse.
There's no hope for Windows 10 except for Windows 7.

I have battled this for 18 months. I hope to still use it NOT EVEN FOR STORAGE b/c file name length abnormalities.

I started with a S90 (split system) IBM APTIVA - with IBM's version of WINDOWS 95 A. Compared to this it was a BREEZE.

?HP?
Thanx!
