Scott, when I'm not using one of my PCs I normally just put it in one of the rooms in my apartment on the floor which has a rug/mat on it. I say "rug/mat" just because it's very cheap carpet found in my cheap apartment building. Never had any problems with this but I've read where some people go overboard and won't put their pc on a rug because of static. Cases are there to product the electronics inside, yes?. Or should I be putting an anti-static mat down in the room where I "store" my pcs.

I really don't think it's necessary because I've been doing it this way for as long as I can remember without any problems. Just want to hear your opinion on this though.

Static will not be a problem for a properly built PC in a case. I recommend storing in a clean and dry environment to prevent corrosion. Scott.

I did tape a small anti-static bad to the back of my case when the Power Supply should go. I put some duct tape on the outside to hold it on. At least to maybe keep a little dust out depending on how long it takes to get my RMA back that I'm shipping tomorrow to PC Power and Cooling.
