I thought I would give an update on this. Today I turned on the laptop and clicked my username. I went to do something in the kitchen for a minute and came back and the screen was completely blank. I ran task manager and say nothing taking cpu time except for "system idle process". Well I clicked restart within task manager and explorer.exe came up while it was trying to shut down and said it wasn't responded, I clicked End Now and it shut down a restarted fine. No problems after that so far!. Anyway I went to the lenovo site to look for the latest video driver. I checked my version and it was the same. I downloaded it and installed it anyway. After I reinstalled it I restarted but I still get the blank screen for a second, this is AFTER the desktop appears and it is loading startup applications. So far though the screen comes right back again. Another thing I find interesting is in the notes for driver it says, "(fix) Lcd turns blank after loading windows for some users"
