Hi,

When I poweron my hp pavilion dv4 laptop, the panel lights comes on the system and the system fan spinning, but there is no display and the system does not beep. the system fan turnoff shortly after I power up. but the system lights remains on.

I would disconnect every component possible including the battery, HDD, ODD, all memory except one module, all external devices, USB connected devices, etc. I would also connect an external display. Then see if the system will power up, display video and allow you to get into the BIOS Setup. If not, replace the remaining memory module with a known-good spare. If that doesn't work then the problem lies with what remains, which is most likely the motherboard. Let me know what you find, Scott.

After trying My system is still in the same state, Could it be the cpu Dead?

My system carry a amd II processor, model TMM520DB022GQ, and if yes where can I find a replacement 1?

It is theoretically possible, but in reality CPUs rarely fail. You can find them on eBay for under $9 shipped. It would therefore be a relatively inexpensive replacement, but I'd bet it won't help since I doubt the original CPU is bad. Let me know what happens if you do decide to try and replace it. Scott.

what can I try next?

if I dont find the same amd model TMM520DB022GQ what class of medel can I use?
