Hi Scott!

I went to use my laptop (Lenovo R61) one evening and was surprised to discover the top of my number "9" key was missing! I eventually found the top elsewhere on the keyboard. On observing the underside, I could not figure out how to reattach the top to the vertical pole sitting where the number "9" key used to be.

How can I fix this problem?

TIA
Paul

I would remove one of the other same sized keys to see how it attaches, as well as to compare whether the attachment points have broken off the first key. In general the only source for individual keys would be a spare keyboard of identical manufacture. If the key cap is broken another alternative would be to replace the entire keyboard. You can find complete original replacement keyboards for ThinkPad systems on eBay. Scott.
