Hey Scott, have you heard of This company?. Looks very interesting. If I had the money I might purchase one of their laptops. Everything supposedly is made to be user up-gradable and their products are made with the consumer in mind...So you aren't locked out of anything and can basically do anything you want with your pc. That's the way it should be I think. Just found their website today so I don't know very much about the company though.

Consumer advocate Clark Howard wants people to set up a Chromebook for financial reasons. Here's a quote from the article in question:

Quote:
And you should never, ever, EVER use your Chromebook for any of the following purposes:

* Surfing the web
* Online shopping
* E-mail access
* Visiting Facebook, Twitter or any other social media platform

Scott, is it true that you prefer that people don't invest in Chromebooks at all?

Many people would be fine with just a Smartphone for simple tasks. Chromebooks are fine for other people who have more involved tasks than a Smartphone can handle but don't need the full power of a PC. I could never be as capable or productive on a Chromebook or Smartphone as I am on my PC, however I consider both of them tools for the arsenal. Scott.
