Do you still need to do a clean install of windows 10 on a laptop computer that all ready have windows 7 pro 64bit or can you do a upgrade install over the top of windows 7 pro 64bit ?

Just wondering. I know a clean install of windows 10 64bit would be better then doing a upgrade over windows 7 pro 64bit but i am just a bit lazy and did not want reinstall the drivers and software for this T420 lenovo thinkpad

You can do an upgrade install but I wouldn't recommend it. Drivers will need to be upgraded even during an upgrade install. Scott.

I am wondering what are your thoughts would be a sweet spot for the Windows 10 system requirements? Would be for a T420 like Ram and Cpu I all ready of a SSD as iyou all ready know.

thanks.

I am thinking about upgrading to windows 10 pro and do a clean install on the old hard drive 1st and see what happens and what i would run into before doing a clean install on the SSD.

take care I hope your reply won't take 5 days.
