Scott Should I turn off indexed off on the SSD to free up space what are your thought I don't care what the internet say I just want your thoughts on or off and why.

I also got a new laptop computer a lenovo T530 thinkpad with windows 10 pro. I have not got all the drivers install and widnows up date yet working on that.

where it is highlighted scott can I uncheck that box in windows 10 or should I not I do have a SSD install in the T530 thinkpad. I don't want to disable it tho. I am going to be installing windows 10 pro 64bit on this T420 thinkpad and see what happens when I have the 1909 install I think I have to do the upgrade 1st and then do a clean install of windows 10 pro 64bit....

you should also run this little program on windows 10
it only cost $10.00

I recommend turning indexing off in Windows 7 and earlier. For later versions I would leave it on. Scott.

Scott are you using windows 10 more now.

and the SSD I have for the T530 is a Samsung v-nand ssd 860 EVO and its a 500GB so and I install windows 10 pro 64 bit so just leave the indexed on then.

on my T530 thinkpad.
in windows 10 pro 64 bit would it be ok if I delete the Hiberfil.sys file cause it is a pig around and that file is around 3.223,,408KB about 3gb if could free up.

I would not recommend deleting the Hiberfil. I am using XP, 7, and 10. Scott.

When I install windows 10 64bit pro on to that new thinkpad T530 notices that it was not doing a full shut down. So I found out how to make it do a full shut down. But Can I ask why you don't recommaned deleting the hiberfil file. What does it do?

Unless you disable hibernation the file will simply be recreated the next time the system hibernates. Scott.
