So, I bought a Used T410/i5 a couple years ago. My operational environment involves chronic low grade hacking, with intermittent attacks; fortunately that has been generally improving. I do use Norton Internet Security.
It has just occurred to me that I may be experiencing some hardware issues...
This thing crashes quite often, maybe twice an hour... and frequently right after booting up, or even during the late stages of the boot process.
It was originally a Win7Pro system, which I migrated to Win 10. That got hacked to a mess, and last summer I installed a New Retail USB stick... the new OS was attacked in short order and one characteristic of the hack, was that I could no longer log in. Then after sitting idle for a couple months, it miraculously turned right on.
So Now it has been performing serial Windows STOPCODE Errors, like: > memory management > IRQL not less than or equal to > DDL~ missing (somewhere in SYSTEM) > (something about the) Kernel...
NOW I'M THINKING HARDWARE; maybe reseat memory modules, run a surface check on the HDD (or upgrade to SSD). Probably renew the OS.
Any suggestions come to mind? I have a good set of 'upgrading/repairing' books.... Thanks for reading....
