Scott/Mike,

What is the difference between the older DDR 200 pin SODIMM memory and the newer DDR2 200 pin SODIMMs?

DDR and DDR2 are incompatible and non-interchangable. Since they use different voltages, the modules have different notch key positions, so they are physically non-interchangable as well. If you want to know the technical differences between DDR and DDR2, I cover that in detail in both URPCs and URLaptops:

Scott.

Will all DDR SODIMMs use the same voltage?

Yes. DDR = 2.5V, DDR2 = 1.8V. Scott.
