Scott,

Has Microsoft included the WPA2 Client Update for Windows XP as part of automatic updates or in SP3? I want to know if I need to install this manually on XP machines. After watching your video segment on this in URPCs 18th Edition.

I realized that I've run into this *exact* problem in the past. I worked on a network that had all new 802.11n hardware (and thus I enabled WPA2-Personal w/AES) and never could get a given XP machine to connect and authenticate wirelessly. Any new laptops would without any problem and now I finally know why. Thanks!

If you check the list of updates in Service Pack 3 for Windows XP, you'll see that KB917021 (Wireless Client Update) is definitely included. Scott.

Thanks for the clarification. I should revisit the machine I looked at and see if the wireless connection works now.
