Stupid question but I don't have a phone. I've seen pictures of them.

Do some cell phones (smartphones or whatever) have keyboards without some of the nonalphanumerics we're used to on desktop and laptop keyboards? And do some of those phones allow accessing websites?

In that case, should website passwords be only alphanumeric to ensure cross-hardware access?

Do the phones come with alternative ways of accessing missing nonalphanumerics and are those alternatives practical for password use? Presumably, you wouldn't want everyone seeing what you're typing and security settings putting some programs out of reach until you've used your password shouldn't be allowed to prevent typing nonalphanumerics for the password.

Is there no problem or should we limit to alphanumerics?

Thanks.

If I ever write "Upgrading and Repairing SmartPhones", it will have that information. Until then... (que the crickets) <g> Scott.
