scott,
how can i find the windows catalog to make sure that my computer hardwares and UPS is compatible with windows XP Professional?

There should be information on system requirements that came with your hardware and UPS. I'm not sure Microsoft still supports or updates the windows catalog/Hardware Compatibility List.

On the start menu of a default Windows XP installation there is a link/icon titled "Windows Catalog", which is actually a link to: http://www.windowsmarketplace.com

I delete that useless link on all of the systems I build and/or reload.

Since you didn't specify what computer hardware or UPS you are talking about, all can say is that the UPS mfr. should be able to tell you if it is compatible or not. Scott.
