new pc fitted with an SSD as drive C containing all programs and a 1Tb HDD as drive E.
I wish to configure windows 8 to save all documents, Music, Photos, videos etc automatically onto drive E so saving time and space on drive C.
Totally new to windows 8 as I have been windows xp until now. Thanks in advance of your help.

What type and size (capacity) is the SSD? How much data (GB) do you have now, and how much more do you anticipate adding in the future? Scott.

You didn't say how much data you actually have. I was asking because I normally don't recommend moving these folders unless you really have to.

OK, there are basically two levels to this. You can easily redirect personal folders such as My Documents or My Pictures to other folders (on other drives), or via more radical surgery you can move the entire Users folder.

As you can see by clicking on those links, the latter is much more involved. For that reason I would recommend just redirecting your personal folders instead. Scott.
