I don't know whether Win7 is compatible with a 32-bit platform and whether 32- and 64- Win are sold in the same box, but if the answers are yes and yes then it's useful to note that the official repair disc a user may make from Win seems to be limited to 64-bit if made on a 64-bit machine with factory-preloaded Win. My repair disc did not work on a homebuilt 32-bit machine.
