I am looking to record my desktop to show student employees on how to do simple tasks like installing a network printer. I was wondering what software everyone recommends for this. I know searching here Scott has mentioned SnagIt. Anyone know any free ones that are safe to download. I would like this to be video files.

I would check out the software reviewed here: http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-fr ... corder.htm

I haven't used any of them myself so I'd be very interested in which program you end up using and how you like it. Scott.
