As a follow-up or in addition to the last question I asked above,
I am seeking an opinion....
I've seen several different versions of so called "driver discs" on E-Bay like the one below:http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-750-000-WINDO ... 1713926769
Many times, I have customers in my side business, that just want generic Windows on their machines instead of using the restore partition with all the bloatware that comes with the retail system.
Where I work, we start with a base Windows image and do not use a Dell image or whatever would normally ship with the computer.
Doing this usually results in many YELLOW Exclamation points in the Device Manager. Often one of them is the Network Adapter meaning there is no network access to connect and download drivers so more can be downloaded.
Hence if a disc was available with "supposedly nearly 2 million" drivers, that would simplify things.
Has anyone ever bought one of these? Are they what they say they are?
I've found that aside from the manufacturer websites, the so called "driver websites" have become dangerous places to visit.
Thanks in advance.
