Scott what is your opinion on Windows 10?. Apparently you can now upgrade for free to windows 10 using the icon next to the clock?. I really haven't kept up so I know nothing about this. Is it a good idea to do this?.

For me the Jury is still out on Win10. There is plenty of time to take advantage of the free upgrade, but I'm not sure if even that would be worthwhile. Scott.

I never recommend "upgrading" from one OS to another (installing a new OS over an old one via an upgrade installation) as that has always been fraught with problems. The best way to change from one OS to another is via a clean install. Scott.

Of course had the tech magazine editor backed up his boot drive before the installation he would not have had an issue reverting.
