In windows 7 pro 64bit Scott.

I have just uncheck the allow remote assistance connections to this computer

and on the below remote desktop I have it set to don't allow connections to this computer
am I good so hackers can't mess with my computer.

What else do I need to do to the network or how is your setup..

I also have turn off file and printer sharing is that ok. will that make my computer safer?
what else need to be disable or turn off in there where the turn off file and printer sharing?
thanks.

Scott have a Microsoft tech support ever call you in helping fixing your computer if they do please do a video of it. That would be really funny in deed and post it up on http://www.youtube.com I have a phone number to a scammer but i block that phone number on my phone. here it is 417-717-0274. Just make sure you have a junk computer that you really don't care about because if they get upset they could wipe that computer out.
I don't know what I hate more windows 10 or scammers or viruses or malware.

I normally set Remote Desktop to allow connections because I use it all the time. The other things you did are fine and I don't think any other changes are necessary. I know about those scammers and wouldn't give them 2 seconds of my time, even in the interest of entertainment. <g> Scott.

Microsoft NEVER calls people offering assistance unless you initiated the contact. ALL such cold calls are scams.

Disabling Remote Assistance is fine, but it is not a path for people to get into your PC unless you give them permission. And they are always helpful in telling you how to turn it back on.
