I don't use it myself, and for most people I don't see the need. On the other hand I would *not* use a browser without Adblock Plus installed! If besides ads you want to also disable tracking, Adblock Plus can do that as well. Scott.

PS: As for the forum issues we had a couple of glitches that should be solved.

Why would someone need a ghostery or adblock puls add on. So they can block ads etc does it help to block viruses and malware etc.

Yes indeed. You don't know what you are missing if you haven't tried it. Scott.

I read on the Mozilla firefox website that the adblock plus don't let some websites load you have to disable the adblack plus to get the websites to load. the version of mozilla firefox is 44.0.2 is the one that don't play nicely with adblock plus. have you ran into this before.

I have the latest versions of both Firefox and Adblock Plus installed and running as I type this, works perfectly for me. I haven't seen problems with any of the sites I visit, and if it there is it can be quickly disabled either just for that site (which it will remember) or completely. Scott.

Check out Clark Howard's take on ad blockers. Could they do more harm than good?

They have been in use for years and so far IMHO have done far more good than bad. I would never intentionally want to go without one.
