New MS policy: Win7 and 8.1 will no longer support newer CPUs. Combined with ending all support for Win8 (ala XP) last week MS is kicking sand in the faces of its users. Upgrade to Win10 or else....bitches. Where ya gonna go?

Scott, are you particularly frustrated over Microsoft's plans?

It is very frustrating to see Microsoft seem to do everything in its power in what appears to be an attempt to kill the PC. If it isn't intentional then it may be ignorance. Scott.

Why do you think Microsoft would want to kill the PC, Scott? Would you still recommend the GWX Control Panel? BTW, at least some users can breathe a sigh of relief. This piece is also worth checking out.

In this case I believe Hanlon's Razor applies. So while that may not be the intent the end result seems to be the same.

Yes indeed. Scott.
