You don't want the update KB3035583 as that is the Get Windows 10 (GWX) program. I *highly* recommend you install the GWX Control Panel as it will prevent any of this Windows 10 nonsense now and in the future. Scott.

So all the important updates are fine then. I have hidden the KB3035583 in the optional.
GWX Control Panel is that what you used?

thanks for letting me know. those that are hidden i wouldn't need any of those install right.
I just want to make sure.

again thanks.

I also want to let you know that I don't see the windows 10 icon i think I remove it from the system tray when I uninstall the updates and hidden them as you can see above.

so this thing with the GWX Control Panel so do i still need this.

What I'm going to do is go ahead and install the important updates. Is there anything else I should be aware of. Why is Microsoft thinks we are children and need them to decide to do the updates when they want to do the updates etc it is bs.

I don't know of anything else to worry about but I would recommend the GWX Control Panel to avoid any issues with the Windows 10 upgrade in the future. Scott.

I will be getting that GWX control panel soon but I think I'm windows 10 free. I think the only way that windows 10 or Microsoft can force windows 10 is though the windows updates from day one on this laptop with windows 7 pro on it. I have set it to notify me of updates and let me chose when to download the updates so I have time to look at the updates first.

I also notice that windows 10 does not play nice with the newer AMD cpus and some hardware.

might be time to switch to Linux o/s soon. LOL

again thanks for the information about the GWX control panel.
one more update i see was the KB3135445 i also hidden that as well.
