Hello,
Looking for a unit for our church, for Livestream which requires at least a quad core processor, and a dedicated video card with 512 MB of VRAM.
At the same time Livestream broadcasts, it also saves to the hard drive. We also want to use a separate program to capture and record the audio as a backup for the CD recording.
The reason I was thinking about a server is because of a dual CPU and because of the ability to use 4 to 5 drives in a RAID configuration and the ability to have redundant power supplies.
However, we don't want to break the bank either. We need to do this economically as possible. As a 501 (C) (3), there may be ways to get donated hardware too.
Just wondering what the experts have to say.
Thanks.

You could easily build an inexpensive desktop system using a quad-core processor along with RAIDed drives for storage. Using a modern processor you could also have integrated video which should work well with the software you are using. Scott.
