I'm using an HP DL380 G6 and I had Xen Server on it but I wanted to try something different.
There are 8 SAS hard drives configured into 2 logical drives with RAID 0 currently.
I'm trying to install the 180 day trial of Windows Server 2012 R2.
I'm receiving an error saying that Windows cannot be installed on this disk, Make sure your hardware supports booting from this disk (That is not the exact text of the error but that is basically what it says).
I've went into the RAID settings and made sure first logical disk is set as the boot drive and I have WS 2012 R2 on a USB key for installation, then when I boot, I'm hitting F11 and choosing a one time override boot to the USB key for install.
The Windows Setup screen is seeing the 2 logical drives but is saying neither of them are available to install on.
I'm choosing Custom and not Upgrade.
I have even went into the RAID controller and deleted and re-created the logical drives.
I'm not sure if I need some type of driver loaded at install time and if so which one, but, since it can see my logical drives it would seem like it's seeing the RAID controller.
Any help would be appreciated.
