Question: The laptop in question is a Fujitisu Lifebook S5210.

I did a PC Tune up on this laptop a few weeks back and the wireless worked fine
in my shop. The customer calls and says he can't connect to the library wireless,
He states there's no security code you just click the libraries name and it use to
connect, but now it doesnt. The customer did a repair of the IP addresses and same
results no connections.

Any suggestions...

Thanks, Craig

What has changed in the system between then and now?

Is the wifi adapter turned ON? <g>

Can they connect to any other wireless router or network?

Unless they can get a wired network connection so you can trouble$hoot it remotely, I'd have them bring it back in to the shop for $ervice. <g> Scott.

Possibly the library changed its Wireless keys?? In Vista/7 it wont recognise needing a new WEP/WPA key it will just fail???!

In XP it was simple but I have yet to find a quick way of deleting Wireless profiles in Vista SP2 or 3 (Win7 ;)

So I would recommend deleting the wireless profiles and re entering them assuming the Laptop Wireless switch is on :)

Just thought of anew nickname for Vista I proclaim "Visa" as they what you need to get it to work smoothly!
