I have a RJ-45 Ethernet port that was damaged by having a USB Type B connector plugged into it. Unfortunately it is on a
color laser printer and it is physically attached to the main $850 printer control board.
I cannot find RJ-45 connector repair instructions in either URPC19 or URNet5, or on this forum. So should I break out the soldering iron, or do they make RJ-45's so you can pop out a damaged connector and plug in another one?
I haven't opened up the printer yet to look at the board to see how it is connected.
