Ok so I upgraded my firmware via Wi-Fi (don't laugh!)
You already know I my router!
I found this which recovered my v4 despite being only designed for V1 and 2 routers,
I discovered that the utility is only compatible with Windows XP and certain NIC's I was unsuccessful with a but was successful with a
Hope this helps, may even refer it myself one day!

Yes I did use the 30/30/30 method, but as the router was not completely bricked (I realise I didn't make that clear) the 30*3 method did not work as the router was in recovery mode (expecting firmware to be flashed)
The power light was flashing red/green very fast, like a strobe!
I have since put firmware on the router, with much improved controls

I haven't heard of that firmware. What made you choose that one specifically?

Well That router seems to be time limited, it has been run 24/7/365(except when blackouts longer than my UPS could deal with) since new! Oh Wait I had better express Days/Week/Year like this 24/Week/365 seeing as Americans express the date wrongly also So 5/12/2005 is 5/Dec/2005 and not May/12/2005!! Honestly you could have at least completely reversed the date format like the Chinese! I say this because it does create confusion, perhaps I should run for US president to change this?? So I wonder is their a nice US "female" I can marry to get one's "Green card"? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_and_t ... by_countryI wonder how many people go off their own topic?
