It might be nice if they fixed channel bonding first.

I would definitely wait for it to be certified, or at least in a very stable draft form before jumping on that ship. I do think that this will be a good use of the 5GHz band, which 802.11n never really capitalized on and which has many more channels than the 2.4GHz band. The additional channels plus the shorter range makes it much more ideal for channel bonding to actually work. I have been thinking of setting up a separate 5GHz 802.11n access point here (separate and distinct from the 2.4GHz AP I'm currently using), but I may wait for certified 802.11ac hardware instead.
