Hi,
Service Tag: 10Z8ZC1
Express Service Code: 2235987937
(Dell E520)
WINDOWS XP HOME SP 3 up-to-date
I want to try a wireless router: Currently, I have a D-LINK 604UP
There are 3 PCs +/- a laptop connected but they are not configured for network use (I want to keep this situation). (They are only physically networked).

I have a CISCO linksys E1200 (I don't even see a printer port).

QUESTION: Since the CISCO requires configuration (with a cd), if things do not work out, can I undo the Cisco and go back to the wired setup with the PCs +/- laptop independent of each other?

Is the CISCO linksys E1200 any good?

Thank you

I don't see why not.

I only recommend wireless routers that have gigabit WAN and LAN ports, and that one unfortunately has neither. Scott.

Is there a particular brand you recommend?

Thanks

Thank you
I have to get the router from Staples:

If you happen to have the time I would greatly appreciate your expertise:

1. "D-Link DHP-1320 Wireless N PowerLine Router"
http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_s ... xedcode=WW
Problem: There are only 3 Ethernet ports.

2. "D-Link DIR-330 Wireless G VPN Router, 4-Port 10/100 Switch"
http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_s ... xedcode=WW

3. "D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router"
http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_s ... xedcode=WW

4. "D-Link DIR-645 Whole Home Router 1000"
http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_s ... xedcode=WW

5. "D-Link DIR-826 App-Enabled Dual Band Gigabit Router"
http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_s ... xedcode=WW

I think number 2 would be good?

2. "D-Link DIR-330 Wireless G VPN Router, 4-Port 10/100 Switch"
http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_s ... xedcode=WW

Thank you
Tanya

Of those I would recommend the DIR-655. It also happens to be the least expensive one, and it has all of the features you want. Scott.
