I realize that you are a busy guy, but I have a quick question for you. You
say in your book "Upgrading and Repairing Networks," that switches create
multiple broadcast domains. This is contrary to what the Cisco books say
about switches only creating multiple collision domains. So does a switch
really in fact break up a broadcast domain?

I teach a computer training course and we have been wondering about this.
Thanks for your help and your book is an amazing resource.

Managed switches can create multiple broadcast domains using VLANs:

Thanks for your comments, I'm glad the book has been useful! Scott.
