Hi, Iām having big problems with email:(on my DSL (cable) account.) Thunderbird on this PC (profiled) is out of date but problems are the same as my other computers which have up to date email clients. Now I send with receipts and BCC to my other email addresses Which are: ROGERS (The DSL) - A parent and 2 child addresses and Attglobal (a Dial-up account - but I use it through the DSL)
I may not get a message for over 24 hours.
Bounces ā due to server not responding (excessive time)
And I am not receiving messages (whereas they are being received by the att account)
QUESTIONS and CONCERNS 1. It seems I cannot use more than 1 SMTP unless I change it manually. Even the old thunderbird version is apparently able to use more than 1 Is manually changing smpts the only way > 1 SMTP server can be used?
2. The errors seem related to the POP3 servers.
3. There are 2 accounts I want to use with the cable. Here are the SMTP servers: smtp.broadband.rogers.com (I am using port 587 ā default is 25) TLS if available
asmtp.prserv.net (Either port 587 or port 25) TLS if available
Is there one of the above I could use to send for both Attglobal AND Rogers? Or should port 587 allow this?
Thank you for any help

You will want to continue using the settings that Rogers and ATTGlobal recommend. Most likely any delays are caused by problems on the email providers end. What happens when you try one of the such as Gmail? It's always good to have backup email accounts with different providers. Scott.

I would use port 587 for both email accounts, many ISPs block port 25. Your ISP may also block any email not coming from its own address as a form of spam protection. For any help with this I'd say you need to talk to your ISP and email providers. As an alternative I would recommend other email services such as Gmail. Let me know what you find out, Scott.
