I'm working on a new CQ58 (Win8) myself.
Did you try the factory recovery disc/option?
I would check the drive for errors, (this one has a Hitachi drive)
If you check the drive disable AHCI in the bios (if you can)
You might also just be trying to install to a recovery, or small diagnostic partition. If you want to use that drive, first delete all the partitions, after you have backed up of course.

If you are using standard installation media you will probably need to supply the AMD chipset drivers *during* the installation. Have them ready on a USB flash drive and point the installation to them when prompted. As an option you may be able to disable AHCI mode in the BIOS Setup, however that may impact performance slightly. Scott.

Thanks scott & David.I tried everything but no headway still so i decided to try another Hdd.It worked.when I tried to use the suspected Hdd externally via a 2.5"PATA/SATA COMBO,data could hardly be transfered to it.(the combo worked fine with a known good Hdd).I guess the Hdd is faulty.

HDD's are like spinning plates, you need more than one to continue eating if one falls?!?
