Quote:
Intel, the giant chip maker and longtime partner of Microsoft, has decided against upgrading the computers of its own 80,000 employees to Microsoft’s Vista operating system, a person with direct knowledge of the company’s plans said.

The person, who has been briefed on the situation but requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of Intel’s relationship with Microsoft, said the company made its decision after a lengthy analysis by its internal technology staff of the costs and potential benefits of moving to Windows Vista, which has drawn fire from many customers as a buggy, bloated program that requires costly hardware upgrades to run smoothly.

“This isn’t a matter of dissing Microsoft, but Intel information technology staff just found no compelling case for adopting Vista,” the person said.

The IT staff here at Mueller Tech have come to the same conclusion. <g> Scott.

I would have agreed with this also Scott until recently but since using Vista on a work computer for several months now I actually find it harder and harder to go back to XP.

Yeah if you think windows vista is buggy wait until windows 7 comes out or should I say windows vista SE. IS windows 7 is that really going to be windows vista SP2 if not it should be.

I don't understand whats the big deal about why people can't move up to windows vista.
Far less buggy then windows xp.

I have both windows xp and vista I'm using windows vista more then I used windows xp. If there was more Apple/mac software in stores i'll go and buy a mac.

I concur!

As a matter of fact, that's a perfect ending to this!

Mike :locked:

Oh yeah, one more cent:
XP = good
vista = not so good
