Those are *classic* symptoms of a defective, failing, or otherwise inadequate
power supply.

A Windows error with Event ID 1003 is a kernel crash (the kernel is the core
of the Windows OS). This can be caused by many things, but in this case I
believe it also points to power supply problems:

it reboots back over and over again...
That is to be expected in this case. When you change a motherboard or move a
bootable installation of Windows XP from one system to another, there are two
important issues that can prevent the system from booting. One is having an
incompatible HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer), the other is having
incompatible ATA/SATA drivers.
Since you moved a bootable drive from a system with a dual-core processor to
one with a single-core processor, and different (incompatible) HALs are used
in those systems, I would expect the system not to boot. If the move were to
be permanent, you could change the HAL manually to the correct one, or
perform an in-place reinstallation of XP, which would automatically install
the correct HAL.
